Last night, some of our cadets travelled to Edinburgh to take part in an indoor climbing session at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena. Under the guidance of Wg Cdr Barry McAdam and Flt Lt Hilda Erasmuson, the cadets were introduced to the basics of tying in and belaying before tackling the climbing walls.
With a mix of excitement, nerves, and a few shaky legs, the cadets took their first steps off the ground. However, they quickly gained confidence and were soon climbing like seasoned pros. To round off the evening, they had a go at bouldering before packing up and heading home.
